Dr Sharon Sime (pictured), Public Health Medicine Specialist – Protection MBChB, MPH, FNZCPHM Sharon is a public health physician and Fellow of the NZCPHM. Based in Wellington, since 2021 she has been working as Chief Clinical Advisor in the Covid-19 Response and Outbreak Response teams, providing public health clinical leadership and strategic advice to support a broad range of preparedness and response activities.
Angela Matson, Clinical Advisor – Protection RN CompDip, PGDipPH [Post Graduate Diploma Public Health] Angela has 20 years’ experience in Communicable Disease Control as a public health nurse. She has held various roles, including Tuberculosis Case and Contact Manager, Notifiable Disease Response, Outbreak Coordinator. She was also seconded to the ARPHS COVID-19 response as Operations Lead PHN from March 2020 where she helped establish the case and contact management teams. Having trained as a registered nurse in her hometown of Whangarei,
Jo Fowler, Principal Advisor – Prevention Directorate, Immunisation Team Registered comprehensive nurse and fully authorised vaccinator Jo is a Registered Nurse with a career in Primary Health Care working in both busy urban medical centres but also student health. Jo currently works in the National Immunisation Team as part of the Prevention Directorate in the National Public Health Service.
